Serendipity (noun)
The occurrance and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way:
: a fortunate stroke of serendipity
The origin of this word was coined by Horace Walpole in 1754., in his fairy tale “The Three Princes of Serendip”. The Heros “were always making discoveries, by accident and sagacity, of things they were not in quest of”.
